Idea

The PitchN mobile app (Android and iOS) makes it easy to volunteer and run errands to help those who need it most.
PitchN connects users based on location so they can give or receive help in their local communities. A Help Seeker creates a help list that is published for volunteer Helpers. Helpers can fulfill help lists by running errands like shopping for groceries, picking up medication and replenishing key supplies on behalf of the elderly, the immunocompromised, front line workers, neighbors, family members, friends, strangers…anyone in need.

Current Status

The mobile app is slated to launch to both Android and iOS app stores respectively in the next 10-days.

Market

Target market - Volunteer Helpers
- younger, healthy adults across the globe willing to pitch in to help people in their respective local communities by running errands and/or sharing critical items.

Target market - People that need help
- The elderly, immunocompromised, front line workers, first responders etc. anyone in need of help due to the ongoing health crisis.

Problem or Opportunity

The global health pandemic affects us all. Yet, some of us clearly need more help than others.
There are many people in need and many willing to help. Since the beginning of the pandemic, people have been using a variety of different tools and tech to help others. Unfortunately, there wasn’t one central platform to facilitate and streamline these crucial help connections.

Solution (product or service)

We built the free PitchN mobile app (iOS and Android) to simplify the help process and make it easier to give and receive help during this ongoing crisis. PitchN streamlines and centralizes people-to-people help in local communities.
It is our hope that able adults across the globe choose to pitch in!

Competitors

Software publishing and IT Consulting Industries are largely fragmented outside of the Fortune 100/500/1000 companies. Both industries experienced sustained and increasing growth over the last five years, with the trend predicted to continue over the next five.

Advantages or differentiators

There is no current app like PitchN that centralizes and streamlines people-to-people help.

As far as R2 goes, the firm owns a subsidiary in India which allows us to house a robust talent pipeline of developers, DevOps engineers and SREs. We are able to delivery high quality products and services, at low cost without sacrificing on quality.
The US firm devises all strategy, whereas the Indian firm is our execution branch.
We have relatively low overhead and high profit margins on all projects, especially with regard to application development and DevOps services.

Finance

The app is 100% completely free. It is meant to simply streamline and centralize help during the ongoing health crisis.

Outside of the app helping people globally, it would be an added benefit if it generates awareness for my startup which can be leveraged to gain new customers and additional revenue.

R2 as a firm grossed ~$150K in its first year and was profitable.

Business model

R2 Consulting offers custom software product development, IT and Data consulting services, as well as several commercial products we are developing internally.

Team or Management

Risks

Competition is rampant and marketing is really the key in generating brand awareness and lead generation.
We are not well capitalized and this is our biggest risk at the moment in terms of being able to scale and go after larger bids.

Incubation/Acceleration programs accomplishment

N/A -- although I do have an MBA and have successfully raised private equity capital for other ventures previously.
